ERIC'S PLAN TO MAKE ADVISORY OPTIONAL

"Advisory is a waste of students' and teacher's time; we should let the students decide how they will spend the 15 minutes."

-Rep. Eric Yao

Eric will ensure that the frequency of advisory is reduced to maximize students’ wellbeing. With the extra 15 minutes, students can socialize, do homework, meet with a teachers, etc. Reducing the frequency of advisory will reduce the amount of work for teachers and give students more freedom.

REDUCE ADVISORY FREQUENCY

  • Non-mandatory advisories will be optional to attend. If students and advisory host agree to meet, students in that advisory must meet as usual.
  • Mandatory advisories include: assemblies, surveys, etc.

FREE TIME FOR STUDENTS

  • Students can gather in the commons, library, classrooms, hallways, etc.
